Advanced Analytics Provider Data Dictionary

The Kyruus Health Advanced Analytics offering provides access to underlying datasets used to build the standard analytics content available in the Core Analytics offering. These models can also be used to construct new reports and insights covering topics related to Kyruus Health products: Schedule, Search, Search for Admin Users, Connect for Providers etc.

To understand and navigate the different options for report development it may be helpful to first become familiar with the key terms and concepts used for Advanced Analytics. See Advanced Analytics Key Terms for more information.

The linked spreadsheet below provides a Data Dictionary of all of the available fields which can be accessed via the "Analytics" explores within the Admin platform. Dictionary content is organized by:

  • Drop down option, as displayed in the "Analytics" drop down menu
  • Explore Model, grouping of concepts organized for reporting
  • Topic
  • Field

The spreadsheet format allows the user to filter and search for fields or elements as displayed in the field explorer within the user interface, or look for specific terms based on key words in the field description.

In addition the "ERD" pdf (Entity Relationship Diagram) provides high level diagrams by Explore Model that show how the various topics are related. It does not include full field level components but can be used to see which entities are driving the relationship between topics.

Notes on Explore Models and Data Elements:

  • In may instances an 'explore' drop down option from the "Analytics" menu will present multiple models for use in report development. These models are designed to be self-contained. Concepts or data elements from one model may not be reflected in another even though those are listed under the same menu item. This is often done to group unrelated themes into discrete buckets or to handle different levels of detail that might be unhelpful if the concepts were otherwise combined.
  • Many concepts are repeated within each Explore Model. For example "Customer" or "Provider" attributes are often included as references within each Model, so these topics will repeat but sometimes with different sets of available fields depending on what is appropriate for the given topic.
  • Many elements are ultimately related to a "Provider" record. When a concept, like Specialty or Affiliation, is associated with a provider entity in the model those elements may introduce additional levels of granularity to the detail of the report which could influence calculations or metrics. Add these additional elements carefully and evaluate results to ensure the level of detail is what is expected. The ERD document can help show how the relationships between concepts are arranged in the model and can help identify whether the join association may drive granularity considerations for certain measures.
  • Some Topics include references to back end systems or legacy structures that pertain to Kyruus platform utilities. These references will ultimately be removed to make the descriptions and labels more easy to understand. For ease of reference the terms:
    • "Taxycab" or "KCL" refer to Kyruus clinical configuration terminology services. When Taxycab Experitise or Taxycab Specialty is displayed this simply means Specialty or Expertise.
    • "Minerva" refers to the Kyruus backend Provider repository. If Minerva is displayed this simply refers to the Provider database source.
    • "Customer Service" or "CRM" refers to utilities used by authenticated, customer employee users (ie. Call Center Agents or Admin Users) who are accessing Kyruus Health tools to search, refer or schedule appointments.
