Schedule supports sending patient insurance information directly into Epic’s discrete insurance fields. With this enhancement, insurance information is now mapped to the appropriate fields within the patient chart.
When a patient books an appointment and provides their insurance details, Schedule creates a new insurance record in Epic. This process is additive—existing insurance information is not overwritten.
How It Works
During the scheduling workflow, patients enter their insurance information as part of the registration process. Schedule then includes these details in the appointment request sent to Epic. Epic stores the submitted insurance information as an External Coverage record, where it can be reviewed and verified by registration staff.
Enabling Discrete Insurance for Epic
This integration does not require configuration changes on your end. If you would like to enable this feature or confirm that your registration form includes the required insurance fields, contact your Kyruus Health Customer Success Partner or email kyruushealth@revspringinc.com.
