This dashboard, titled "Search for Providers | High Intent Engagement Detail," offers a comprehensive view of how users interact with the "Search for Providers" feature, specifically focusing on "CTA Click" engagement events. These events represent instances where users take a high-intent action, such as requesting an appointment via phone, virtual care, or location-based services.

Understanding the Data Presented

The dashboard displays engagement metrics for the "current period," which defaults to the last 30 complete dates. This range can be changed using the “Date” filter. The data is benchmarked against a "prior period," which is set based on the “Set Prior Period” drop down.

Dashboard Sections and How to Use Them

  • Engagement Event Category Volume: This section provides a high-level summary of "CTA Click" events.
    • Total CTA Click Events: This shows the total number of "CTA Click" events.
    • Average Events per Session: This metric indicates the average number of "CTA Click" events that occur within a single user session.
  • Engagement Category Events Trend: This chart visually represents the weekly trends for both "Total Events" and "Average Events per Session." You can use this to identify patterns and shifts in engagement over time. You can adjust the trend granularity using the "Date Granularity" filter and the engagement type with the "Engagement Event Category" filter in the top filter bar.

  • Individual Engagement Event Metrics: This detailed table breaks down the engagement by specific "Event Name Front End." For each event (e.g., "CTA Click - Book Online," "CTA Click - Phone Number," "CTA Click - Request Appointment"), you can see the "Event Volume - Current" and "Event Volume - Prior," along with the percentage change ("+/- Vol"). Similarly, it shows "Avg Events per Session - Current," "Avg Events per Session - Prior," and the percentage change ("+/- Avg"). This allows for a granular comparison of how different CTA types are performing. You can drill into specific event names to view metrics by date. You can also adjust the prior period comparison range with the "Set Prior Period" control and the engagement type with the "Engagement Event Category" filter in the top filter bar.

Available Filters and Their Use

The dashboard includes several filters to help you customize your view and focus on specific data points:

  • Customer: This allows you to filter the data by specific customer names.
  • Date: You can adjust the "current period" time frame for the analysis. The default value is the last 30 days.
  • Set Prior Period: This filter lets you define the comparison period for the "prior period" metrics. The default is set to "immediate prior."
  • Date Granularity: This controls the level of detail for time-based trends, allowing you to view data by day, week (default), or month.
  • Engagement Event Category: This crucial filter allows you to select the type of engagement event you want to analyze. The default is "CTA Click", but you can choose others if available. This is a required filter.
  • Device Type: Filter the data based on the type of device used (e.g., desktop, mobile).
  • Traffic Source Type: Analyze engagement based on how users arrived at the "Search for Providers" feature (e.g., organic search, direct).
  • First Event in Session: This filter allows you to focus on sessions where a specific event was the very first action taken by the user.

By utilizing these filters, you can tailor the dashboard to answer specific questions about user engagement with the "Search for Providers" feature and gain deeper insights into high-intent actions.
