Provider Directory Search

TIMELINE Phase 1: Mid-2026   •   Knowledge Graph: H2 2026
  • NLP upgrades underway to interpret conversational queries (e.g., “tightness in my chest” → cardiology) rather than relying on exact keyword matches.
  • Knowledge Graph being built to map clinical concepts and relationships — reducing manual keyword maintenance, improving abbreviation/misspelling handling, and enabling broader search results.
  • Will understand complex multi-attribute queries (e.g., “female, Spanish-speaking cardiologist near Columbus”) and return precisely matched providers.
  • Model-agnostic architecture allows new AI models to be swapped in as they emerge without a full system rewrite.
  • Call to Action: Share problematic search queries with your CSP for inclusion in testing.

Provider Directory UI Refresh

TIMELINE Rolling out now (Q1–Q2 2026)   •   Map update: Q2 2026
  • Modernized search results interface with cleaner result cards, minimalist design, and reduced visual noise.
  • Result cards will include a “Next Available / Soonest Available” scheduling toggle for quick appointment booking.
  • Configurable color and branding options so health systems can match their website’s look and feel.
  • Refreshed map feature available to all health systems (not just mappable-location customers), displaying all provider locations without geographic restrictions.

Modular / Embeddable Scheduling

TIMELINE In development   •   Implementation: partnership required
  • New modular scheduling flow allows health systems to embed the full appointment booking experience directly into their own websites — no patient redirect needed.
  • Supports patient portals, internal staff booking, and follow-up scheduling use cases.
  • Cross-team implementation required; reach out to your CSP to get started.

Guide for Providers & Guide AI

TIMELINE Profile pages: in progress   •   Guide AI: demos available now
  • Guide for Providers is a universal search product living on the health system’s own website, searching across providers, locations, and website content.
  • Provider profile pages will be added, styled consistently with the broader product family and pulling live data via API.
  • Guide AI is an AI-powered conversational search overlay — patients ask natural language questions and receive action-oriented responses (book, call, find location, read content) that drive real appointment conversion.
  • Product demos available — contact your CSP.

Web Accessibility Compliance (WCAG)

TIMELINE Federal deadline: approaching soon   •   Action required NOW
  • Federal mandate requires all health systems to meet WCAG standards. Deadline is approaching.
  • RevSpring’s standard tools are being made fully accessible; however, custom CSS or branding may introduce violations that health systems need to address themselves.
  • Common issues: color contrast failures (light text on white/dark backgrounds) and social media icon labeling.
  • Call to Action: Run an accessibility scan immediately using free browser extension tools (Chrome Web Store) or the SSA’s compliance checker. Submit any issues via a support ticket. See more information here.

Listings Management

TIMELINE Yelp integration: available now   •   Reserve with Google: limited pilot → GA TBD
  • Centralized Listings dashboard provides a single place to manage provider/location info across all publishers (Google, Apple, Bing, Yelp) and monitor performance metrics.
  • New Yelp integration now available, recognizing Yelp as a significant patient-search channel.
  • Reputation Management enables automated post-visit review solicitation and the ability to monitor and respond to reviews across platforms.
  • Reserve with Google (pilot): patients can book directly from Google Search results, eliminating scheduling friction. Limited rollout now; general availability timing TBD.
  • Exploring AI-powered search integration (Google AI Mode and similar) as AI-driven discovery becomes a primary patient channel.

Scheduling Enhancements

TIMELINE Insurance Card OCR: Q2 2026   •   Multi-provider view: June 2026   •   EHR write-back: available now
  • EHR Write-Back expansion now includes key demographic data (address, email) in addition to insurance details, significantly reducing duplicate data entry.
  • Insurance Card OCR (Q2 2026): Patients photograph their insurance card; the system auto-extracts and populates member ID, group number, and details directly into the EHR.
  • Conditional validation questions: Moving to flexible, dynamic logic where questions change based on patient responses. Adding multiple choice and drop-down question types.
  • Provider-Agnostic / Multi-Provider Scheduling (June 2026): Patients view all available slots across all providers at a location without pre-selecting a provider — ideal for urgent care and multi-provider practices.

Credentialing & Data Access

TIMELINE On-demand API: testing now   •   MCP: exploratory / forward-looking   •   Credentialing integration: in development
  • Credentialing platform integration being built to streamline the credentialing/onboarding process, reducing manual file transfers and automating data flow.
  • On-demand API (testing now): Pull complete, current location and provider data in real time — no more waiting for scheduled batch refreshes.
  • Warehouse-as-a-Service: Snowflake and similar platform integrations being explored for customers who want to analyze data directly in their own analytics environments.
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) — exploratory: Forward-looking option to expose RevSpring data to AI agents and tools, enabling faster, more intelligent workflows. Customer poll on preferred access methods was conducted.
